The Originals are an indie rock band formed in Nottingham in 2014.  Initially forming the band for a recording project, the boys soon had numerous fans leading to national fame. The band members consist of Tom Young (Vocal), Ben Jones (Drums) & HARRY CLARK(GUITAR). The boys were inspired by Kasabian and The Killers which allowed them to put their own twist on the genre.

 

The band is recognised for their unusual approach to music videos as well as having an iconic twist to their performances at concerts. The band released one album ‘Ellipsis’ in 2015 and are working on ‘Soul Searching’ arriving in stores February 2017. The album sold over 1 million copies in 2015/2016. Following the success of the album, ‘Ellipsis’ climbed to number 19 in Spotify Indie Albums of 2016.

 

In 2015, the band received ‘upcoming artist’ award at BBC Music Awards and have gone on to be nominated for two more awards at this year’s ceremony. The boys are rumoured to be performing at Leeds Reading Festival 2017.
